Geronimo /Quote

It makes no difference as to the name of the God, since love is the real God of all the world.
Even your silence holds a sort of prayer.

When Usen created the Apaches, he also gave them their homes in the West. He gave them such grain, fruits and game as they needed to eat... and all they needed for clothing and shelter was at hand. Thus it was in the beginning; the Apaches and their homes, each created for the other. When they are taken from their homes they sicken and die.

  1. I am grateful for finding this site, I am Comanche, but I love the Apache People, History, Dances, Clothes, Look and love that they kept to a lot of their Traditions and their Reserve, they are humble just like most Native Americans. We all have gotten a bad reputation from the Euros!

There are a lot of Apache still in Comanche Land. There are a few families that are kin to Geronimo, Naiche, Victorio, Mangus and Lozen still left here in the town of Apache, which was named in their honor. In the book Chevato(the story of the Apache Warrior who Captured Herman Lehmann) his Grandson, William Chebahtah gives insight to how the town was given the name.

The Apache Tribal Complex, just about three miles north of the town holds an annual Celebration. Members of the White Mt. and Mescelero Fire Dancers and others attend, it is an awsome site.

I like that "EVEN YOUR SILENCE HOLDS A SORT OF PRAYER".

At the Wellbriety Movement traveling thru Oklahom 5/2/09 I was in such awe of the Sacred Hoop and its beauty. I stood in line for my turn to circle the Sacred Hoop to offer Tobacco and a Prayor on its many, many, over a hundred Beautiful Giagantic Eagle Feathers, I thought of the day and how proud I was of these Indians of different Nations to join as one to support those that needed healing. My turn came and I did offer the tobacco as the feathers gently swept accross my arm in the breeze I went blank.....they were so stunning! So this is why I say among other things on your site that I love, that Prayor "EVEN YOUR SILENCE HOLDS A SORT OF PRAYER". That was "ME".

I am pretty confident that the Great Spirit knows what was in my Heart at that moment!
